A fun thing to do in Los Angeles
My parents in law came to visit last weekend, and I wanted to try to find something fun and unique to entertain them. I saw an advertisement on Instagram for the Moonlight Forest Festival and thought that might be a fun thing to do with them. This is the second year for this lantern art festival held at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanical Garden in Arcadia which goes through January 12th, 2020. Let me just say, I’m SO happy that we choose to go to this event because it was beautiful.
First of all, this is not just a few lanterns, this is a massive explosion of color and whimsy. I had no idea how large the festival was, and was surprised to see it was throughout the entire grounds of the arboretum. Check out some of the photos I took from this fun event:
The Festival is open Wednesday through Sunday and tickets entrance times are 5:30, 7, and 8pm. I recommend going at 7pm so you can take your time and watch the 30 minute show with Chinese acrobats and performers. You can buy tickets here: Moonlight Festival Tickets.
