Studio City

Studio City is located in the Southeast part of the San Fernando Valley and was named after silent filmmaker Mack Sennett who build CBS Studio Center in 1927.  Some of television’s most famous shows like “The Brady Bunch” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” have been filmed here.  The central location of this community and the top rated schools have made it very popular place to call home.

Studio City is lucky to have five amazing public parks to take enjoy. Most of Studio City’s sport programs and recreation classes for children, teens, adults, and seniors are located at Studio City Recreation Center/Beeman Park. Co-ed youth sports programs include baseball, basketball, soccer, and flag football. A wide array of classes is also available, including sports clinics, dance, self-defense, doubles tennis for seniors, and senior exercise. The Rec Center also provides a pre-school program, and a winter and summer camp.

You can talk about entertainment without mentioning Universal Studios.  This theme park is fun for all ages, between the new Harry Potter World and The Simpsons, everyone will have a good time.

Studio City has more of a lounge vibe than the hyper dance club, but there are a few places to get your groove on when you’re feeling the need.

Studio City has one of the best elementary schools in the area: Carpenter Community Charter School is top rated by greatschools.org. In addition,   Harvard-Westlake is one of the best college preparatory private schools in the area.  Studio City has 2 elementary schools, 1 middle school, 1 high school, 1 public charter school, and 4 private schools.
